  • Quick thoughts on “Getting organized in the Google Era” book

    Advantages:

    • easy to read - thanks to lots of personal stories that author shares;
    • easy to apply author’s approach in real-life - not that complex as, say, GTD;
    • conformity of tools author recommends to use with his methodology, which makes it “solid” - “information processing” approach by Google, instead of “task management” approach suggested by majority of books on time-management.

    Disadvantages:

    • nothing really new, that you can’t find out yourself.

    All in all - nice book, refreshes the view on time-management and dealing with growing amounts of information every day.

    P.S. I would also add “Dude, just turn off your brain and ski” as a last of so-called “principles of organization” that author introduces throughout the book :)
